A secret wedding in Venice: When the bride is a wedding planner…

Venice…a city where luxury, history and unique nature come together as in a dream. The ideal place for this particular December wedding which was going to be a secret for everyone except bride, groom and two maids of honor.
The bride, who is the co-owner of a successful luxury wedding planning company in Greece StellaAndMoscha and therefore perfectly capable of planning the wedding on her own, had decided to be a bride and let Italian Weddings & Events do the planning. An incredible responsibility as she wanted her Italian luxury wedding to be the flawless, breathtaking one-of-a-kind event that all brides dream of.
Her dream wedding was elopement-style, but also included a variety of amazing luxury details she designed and committed, that instantly reminded me of Preston Bailey, who was the bride’s source of inspiration: Peacocks, emerald green and sapphire blue, plexiglass, crystals, candles and orchids, orchids and more orchids were the keywords in her Italian wedding planning.
The wedding ceremony was held in S. Giorgio dei Greci. The church had been richly decorated by our flower designer, who had also prepared the amazing manzanite centerpiece for the reception, and the bridal party would arrive here on board a luxury water taxi. The secrecy of this wedding was crucial to the bride, as was the fact to have a meaningful ceremony with lots of space for their emotions (masterly photographed by Andrea & Marcus, by the way).
After the wedding, bride and groom took a trip round Venice to enjoy their new maritial status and to get photographed before returning to the top-class luxury hotel Ca’ Sagredo where dinner was served, a delicious menu allowing the bridal party to get well introduced to the Italian cuisine.
The coupe-de-theatre of the evening was the monumental three-tier wedding cake featuring edible manzanite branches and two Venetian masks in emerald green and sapphire blue, made by our talented Pastry chef. Champagne and cocktails were served as well while the bridal party enjoyed the delicious macarons and Italian sugar almonds as well. A happy ending to this luxury Italian wedding.
